Fourth game.

Rain.

Rain & sun.

Rain, sun & I.

Playing with fire.

Stars. Test shots.

Ugly plastic + sunset & blue skies = a little less ugly.

First try bombed. Back to black. This time it went much better.

Third game. Anticipation…

Tasted much better than the weird color combo might suggest the eye.

Trying to shoot some images for future eBay auctions. Little bit disappointing.

Three in a row.

Another rather rare (and really good) one

Going to try more after dark shooting… if I find the time.

Slacklining.

First steps to become an environmental physicist… it’s just mud. As you might have noticed I don’t post new entries as often as usual any more. That’s because of all the mud, well, more likely because of what is behind it: I finally started to work on my diploma thesis.

I’m hardly any good with compliments, but since many people told me lately how much they enjoy my pictures, both in the comments of the blog as well as in person, I’d like to say this… Thank you! =)

Dirty business.

First game. Goal.

Fish. Watching this while I ate didn’t make it better.

Work.

The last shot with the D70.

Cleaning the old D70’s sensor before it appears on eBay.
I also cleaned the newer bodies – even though the D700 even has a built-in cleaning mechanism it does collect significantly more dirt than any other camera body I had before. Good thing I’m comfortable cleaning the sensor myself. The best one so far was the D5000 – it’s cleaning mechanism was so good I never had to clean the sensor myself during the 10 months I had the camera.

Working on some ads.

Morning guest.

Second game. No Goal.

Autschn!

But first: lot’s of cat content from Lemgo.

Cat on a string. I had a great puppeteer with me ;)

Going back to Heidelberg. Cheesy sky recovered from the overexposed shot…

Backpack.

The old ones. I sold the D5000, the D200 will stay for work and the D70 on the right (which I got back from where I sold it, it’s my very first DSLR) will be on eBay soon, probably some time after the football world cup.

At work. Finally.

Wouldn’t have thought I’d find an application for this, but I guess paper still has it’s benefits.

I also wouldn’t have guessed that I’d ever have to buy a LAN cable again…

Cycling snapshot.

Thunderstorm approaching Heidelberg. Before it started to rain, the strong winds brought lots of dust and sand. Never experienced something like that ever before in Germany.

Hand held against strong winds. It’s nice to be able to shoot at ISO 6400 ^^

And another round of shots from the weekend, back at home in Lemgo. Good to have a polarizing filter when the sky is that clear. This one is a little bit long, many sport shots at the end.

Having a break, trying Pickert, a local dish even I haven’t had in a decade.

The usual shot of Schloss Brake.

The last handball game of the season, had to try the D700.

Those referees are always in the way. Well, the shot isn’t that good anyhow. By the way – unlike 99% of all other shots in this blog, the handball shots are cropped. It’s a game way too fast and hard to predict to get really good compositions right out of the camera.

A contact sport. It’s not unusual to have a player with a ripped jersey on the field, without a resulting penalty.

Lucky shot: back pass from a simulated attack jump to throw off the defense (and in most cases the trailing photographer).

Lovely expression =)

7m penalty shot.

The goalie waiting for the game to return to his goal.

‚Ceremonies’ on the field after the game. A big lens get’s you in anywhere.

Players leaving the team at the end of the season. I always wonder who is behind these awful prints they get…

That’s it for today.

A red one…

Shot this tree line countless times. Still good.

Shooting against the sun, over a field cornfield… mmh.

Hot air balloon eclipse.

I’m a little late, but I haven’t had much time lately. Actually I’m not through with all the shots from the weekend, but here’s the first batch… leaving Heidelberg.

Switching trains in Bielefeld.

Short sightseeing tour through Lemgo. Old School.

Practice.

A good investment.

Touring the garden.

Hello sun. Note the little fly, right in focus.

More flowers.

More to come soon. But first a few assorted older ones.

Cooking.

Shooting.

Processing the results of the shoot.

Housewarming party for the new washing machine. This time they delivered the right one.

The world, it turns! Nothing more to add to this today.
